Barbara "Bugsy" Schett?

I believe that Mary Jo said that Babsi's nickname was Bugsy.
That is a funny, cute nickname, but it makes me wonder about something.
Barbara should be a millionaire or quite near, so why would this well built, attractive woman not have gotten braces years ago to correct a very fixable problem.

I sometimes see some famous entertainers, non singers, who have correctable dental problems and do nothing about it, so maybe there is still some stigma to wearing braces.

Looking at the teeth of VENUS & SERENA when they were kids and now is like night and day, so maybe Babs, who does like to model, will have the orthodontics done and will lose the Bugsy nick in the future.

Is that not Mary Jo being dense again? Surely she meant 'Babsi'???

True about the teeth though.

Mary Jo said Bubsi not Bugsy. In America we call it Babsi.

Cari - Thanks, then I stand corrected.
However, I still would like a cutie like "Bubsi" to get the dental work done.

I'd be quite happy for her to spend the money on more baths full of tennis balls

She could bit an apple through a picket fence.

"Hatred is the coward's revenge for being intimidated" - George Bernard Shaw

"And for the best of the teen-agers who followed her, and who occasionally referred to her as over the hill, Graf had a ready answer: against top-ranked Martina Hingis, Graf wound up 7-2. Graf's stirring 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 throttling of Hingis at the French Open final this June was perhaps the most emphatic parting shot the game has ever seen. "
