How far can Sabine Lisicki go at Wimbledon 2014?

It will definitely be one of the biggest storylines at this year's Wimbledon.

How will she hold up under the pressure of defending final points? Has she shaken off that horrible final performance from last year?

I honestly have no idea if she will drop out in the first round or make it to the final again. Hard to predict.

Victoria Azarenka.
Serena Williams. Maria Sharapova.

Wozniacki. Stosur. Jankovic. Bouchard. Halep. Muguruza.
Venus. Stephens. Cornet. Hampton. Bencic.
Seles. Henin. Davenport. Hingis. Clijsters.

Hope she wins it all

The belief that man is an irresolute creature pulled this way and that by two forces of equal strength, alternately winning and losing the battle for his soul; the conviction that human life is nothing more than an uncertain struggle between heaven and hell; the faith in two opposed entities, Satan and Christ - all this was bound to engender those internal discords in which the mind, excited by the incessant fighting, stimulated as it were by the constant promises and threats, ends up by giving in and prostitutes itself to whichever of the two combatants has been more obstinate in its pursuit. Life isn't black and white, it's gold.

Wait for the DRaw. Is she draws Melanie Oudin in the first round, Lisicki is out.

Serena is untouchable.!!! Halep is getting there.

Can't happen because Bine is seeded

The draw will be telling, but she should be aiming for the Quarters

It's hard to bet on her based upon so many withdrawals over the years for various illnesses, and now a distracting boyfriend. Like others have said, wait for the draw but between a potentially bad draw and bad health, it doesn't look good. Lots of pressure defending 1400 points!

Lisicki will fall badly in the ranking. So will all the semi Finalists Flipkens, Radwanska, etc..

Serena is untouchable.!!! Halep is getting there.

Re: How far can Sabine Lisicki go at Wimbledon 2014?

She just pulled out of Birmingham, so she will probably be going in with no match practice. It depends on her draw. Could be out first round if she draws someone like Keys or Riske.

It's impossible to tell. She's the most difficult person to predict in the whole draw.

Obviously it depends on which round she gets drawn to face the French open champion.

The way her year has gone thus far, she would be lucky to make it to the 3rd round!

Victory? Final? No way!

Sabine is very strong on grass but it's very hard to repeat great results every years even if you are Serena. So Lisicki should be happy to reach QF, not more.

I have to disagree with everyone. I think she will surprise everyone and have a great Wimbledon.

Good Luck to my team of Germans:

Angelique Kerber-The Leader
Andrea Petkovic-The Dancing Queen
Laura Siegemund-The Queen Villian from Stuttgart
Anna-Lena Friedsam-The Tough Newcomer
Annika Beck-My Gießen Sister (my Home City)
Julia Görges-The Beautiful One
