Cool A Top20 has not (/yet) scored a victory over Venus Williams in the current Top20?

Here is the list of players in the current Top20 who has not (yet) scored victory over Venus Williams in a tennis event....

#11 Anastasia Myskina (0-2)
#14 Eleni Danilidou (No meeting with Venus yet)
#16 Ai Sugiyama (0-7)

Out of these six players -

it's surprising how lucky Jen is only 0-4 against Venus. It seems that whenever they were going to play one another, one of these things happened. Venus lost, Jen lost, or Venus withdrew.

It would be hard to say that any of them would never beat Venus. Out of all of them, that possibility may be greatest for Ai. She's the smallest, the oldest, and her best surfaces overlap Venus'. She has the least firepower of the group, but is the most consistent. So the possibility exists that she catches Venus at less than her best, and pulls out the win.

Jen has too much talent not to win at least once. And she's been on the doorstep. She just has to watch it doesn't turn into a mental block.

The other veteran, Patty, is the least consistent of the veteran players. But she's also capable of the most spectacular tennis. If the"good Patty" shows up, it's a possibility.

With the 3 youngsters, none of them have reached her peak yet. And all seem to be having a problem with their serves. Out of the 3, Eleni has the most firepower, but is also the least mobile. Anastasia can be streaky. Daniela has the height, and has a good number of shots, but her durability is questionable at the moment.

A lot of these things can improve with experience. Will they? There are any number of things that could prevent it happening. We'll have to wait and see.

In summation, I can't definitely say yes or no for any of them. If I had to pick the most likely "yes", I would say Jen. She's most likely to run into Venus, and do so at a time when she's playing well enough to have a chance. If I had to pick a most likely "no", it would probably be Ai, because she may not get many chances to play Venus.

Good boy... you left out someone.

I had a feeling I had to argue here... but I don't now. Vamos.
