this is what Anna was scared of...

by the way, who did Maria beat?

that's what i'm worrieed about. last year she tore up the challenger circuit she played 6 events and reached the final 5 times and won 3 of those events. so to me this win doesn't mean much. she's done this before so it's nothing to get excited about. she's only played 1 $50k challenger and reached the final. so what i would like to see from her (because she is having trouble transfering this success to the wta tour) is to start playing a few more $50k events (especially strong ones) and also play the $75k events. she is restricted because of her age and i think this wasn't such a good event to play in because these players don't trouble her except for maybe a couple of them. she really needs to be playing the higher challenger events because they are the ones which have the players ranked in the top 100 and they are the people maria needs to learn to beat. she has the physical game to beat them at the moment and the talent but she seems to have mental lapses when she gets ahead of these players and doesn't usually recover.

right the other thing is she needs to get that ranking up

she still isnt in the top 100

she needs to ask her friend Dinara Safina how to get in to the top 70 quickly
