Germany leads 2-0 in USA-Germany Hartford Daviscup-rematch

In Hamburg, to open the German Open next week, Germany leads 2-0 after day one

Stich won against Pat McEnroe 7-6 6-3
Becker won against John McEnroe 3-6 6-1 10-4

Stich is to play John later today, Becker Pat. If it´s needed (and it´s definetly needed for the public ) Stich and Becker will team to play the McEnroes in doubles too

Becker plays Stich in a pre-tournament match in Halle on grass for the first time since Wimbledon 1991 on that particular surface too and is believed to open the Queens event the same way in an exhibition against Stefan Edberg later this summer

Becker is surprisingly down to Pat McEnroe
3-6 0-1 at the moment

It´s a match attracting lots of people including Becker´s and Stich´s former coaches, Bosch and Pilic, same as Tommy Haas´ parents (who said he´s going to NY to have final check if going into training -for Wimbledon- is allowed) and American sexgod James Blake
