well she is ranked #25 this week and if some players withdraw from RG it's a possiblity. there is already talk that venus is in doubt and dementieva had to retire in her match and mauresmo seems to be getting injured at almost every tournament she plays. vera will have to put in another good performance to be seeded that high i think.

Not likely

she only has 2 tournaments to turn up the heat, and unless she can get a good draw and catch an opponent off, then I think she'll be stuck in the top 25 till Wimbledon.

And while Vera is good, I think she needs to be more aggressive and develop her forehand to more of a weapon

Who cares Vera doesnt need to be seeded in the top twenty, as she would still have the same pool of opponents to be drawn from if she was 17 or 32 ranked. Vera is just a player I am sooooo excited about, her style of play is amazing, and... this is the good part... she has so much room for improvement its scary

RG without Venus, Dementieva, Pierce, Seles and Mauresmo seems a bit sour for me Maybe we better call Hingis to make it sweeet

I think most all of them will play

Also Vera hits too short sometimes

Thats what killed her against Davenport, she was just giving Davenport the ball back just a foot or so from the service line

I know its harder than it sounds, but even in a neutral rally, she hits short sometimes. I guess its because shes obviously trying to add more topspin

She needs to be the one dictating more often against the top players

Vera also gets down on herself too much. Also when shes put in a possition against the big players, she messes it up, like with Lindsay in Charleston. Also she has a lapse, she rarly wins in straight sets.

well in bol, she only dropped a set so thats good

also, her attitude seems to be improving...slowly

thats one thing all the russians seem to have in common, they all get down on themselves, have mental issues, and have bad serves

LOL, she wins more matches in straights than 3-setters this year...

And also, if you would have seen her play against Serena, she didnt hit one short ball.... she'll improve against the top players, dont worry..

The idea that Vera is not aggressive enough is sooo wrong...the girl has as much aggression as anyone in the top ten...especially on that BH...like mentioned above..I think she tries to be aggressive on the FH but she hits it with too much topspin...

Vera will come good...she is a sure thing if there ever was one...

VENUS. ANA, TAY TAY. NICOLE. LAURA. KONJUH. MADISON

SERENA. MUGU. VIKA. PETKO. CARO. TIMEA. SVETA. HEATHER. KAIA. TAMIRA. FLAVIA. GEORGI. COCO. LUCIE, SLOANE. PENG. SORANA. ALICIA. JAEDA. CICI. ANETT. DANKA. DONNA. FRANCOISE.

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN. SHENAY. DINARA. GISELA. SPREM.

well, the 24 seed cut is crucial,
coz then she's going up against
9-16 seed in 3R............
with the likes of Maleeva ON CLAY...
injured Monica....
Dokic and Hantuchova..of course...
and many easier to beat people.......
it's easier to defend her 4R points last yr,

she could though hit TOP 16 seed if
she does reach quarters in Rome/Berlin,
if somehow she wins both Tier I,
then she will be seeded 9-12.......
HOW COULD WILL THAT BE

People say that she gets too down on herself when she hits bad shots. Well, IMO it actually helps motivate her to do better, I do that sometimes in my matches and I just think of how Vera does it and I do better . Vera's a fighter, she fights til the end of the match, like the US OPEN 3rd round when she almost caught back up in the hopeless 3rd set against Clijsters, i think Clijsters was up 4-1? and Vera got to 4-3.

Good Luck Radwanska Sisters!

Sorana Cirstea - Stefanie Voegele - Michelle Larcher de Brito - Alexandra Dulgheru

Martina I will miss you!!
