Serena vs Monica on MSG Network

Just a little heads up. To all of you in the New York area. The Madison Square Garden Network will be broadcasting the OWL foundation JP Morgan Classic tonight at 8pm. They will air it a few more times. Yahoo TV coverage has it listed.

Well, I watched it.

It was okay, more winners than UFE, but then, I didn't really think either were going for it. They just moved the ball around, especially in the first set.

They started hitting it harder in the second, but still, not to either's potential.

Monica, still seemed quite sluggish out there. She still has some ways to go with her fitness.

The doubles match, IMO, was a lot more exciting. All four players were playing well, with probably, Brenda Schultz-McCarthy being the weakest link. But boy can Brenda still hit that serve.

Jana, what can I say, just amazing. Venus rocketed a backhand at her feet, that neither I nor the broadcasters thought she would get back, but she did, and hit a drop volley winner. It was just amazing.

I just thought the doubles match was more exciting, won by Serena and Jana 8-7(8-6).

QUEEN VEE

I agree the singles was boring... both just pushing the ball and trying to have a few rallies for fun.

Yeah the doubles was more exciting except Monica looked bored serving as the chair umpire.

I agree that Monica and Serena weren't really going for anything. It was almost like watching a recreational match at the park.

I'm glad I finally got see it though.
