Are Motolio and Gersi retired?

Just noticed in the new rankings today that both Angeles Motolio and Adriana Gersi have plummeted in the rankings.

Are both retired now? injured?

Angeles is playing horrible, i don't think she has won a match all of 2003, but as far as I know she is still playing.

Dunno about Gersi...

That's why I was wondering if Angeles had retired. Outside of winning one tournament in 2002, she had an awful year compared to 2001. But I did not know she had surgery in January.

If she comes back to tennis, perhaps she will find that spark again that gave her such a great season two years ago.

I believe that Adriana and Maja are retired.

Angeles did have surgery - don't know if she plans to come back.

I think Gersi is retired... after she beat Elena at '01 US Open, she lost every match for a year, and just disappeared.
