A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

Venus hasn't won one 'biggie' in the last 52 weeks

She barely played any Tier 1's last year, and the one or two she DID play she lost early in.

Actually, I only can remember her playing Moscow and losing to Maggie.

For the past 12 months, Serena and Kim own all of the biggest. Serena owns the top 4, #6, and #8. Kim owns #5 and #7.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

Venus needs to play more Tier I's. Last year, she let Serena take all of them, where she only played NASDAQ and Moscow. I understand why she let Serena play the Tier I's last year. Serena was ranked lower than, and she needed the big points. Now it is the other way around, and Venus needs to sign up for the bigger tournaments, and Serena should stay out of them, or better yet, both sisters should play the tournaments together. Then Venus would get more practice playing Serena, and there matches would get better, hopefully with Venus coming up on the winning end

Actually I found the lack of American tier 1 winners last year suprising, I think it was only Serena in Miami and Indian Wells. Also a lot of the people winning tier 1 titles were outside of the top 10. Hantuchova, Iva Majoli, Schnyer, Maleeva, were all outside the top 10 (the last two maybe even the top 20?) when they won.

Well, if Lindsay wasn't the biggest choker .... I mean, if Maleeva and Schnyder didn't play way over their heads .... I mean, if Patty and Maggie didn't fluke out and .... well, there's just no good way to say it. Let's just say that Lindsay's name should appear more than once on that list.
