Arrow Over the "Hump" and "Russian Curse"..FINALLY!!

WOW!!! Elena played amazing!!! I mean incredible I never saw her play like that before and in truth, Lindsay did NOT play horrible! It was so great to see Elena win her first title and her expression after winning was priceless..of course she didn't scream like yesterday but after the way she ran and played today, I believe she was shocked and had no breath left Kudos to her I now believe she can win more titles.!

I also have to admit though that even though I've been a fan of Elena since 2000, since she hasn't won a title I kind of lost faith in her...something I never should have done. But after she beat Justine I KNEW that she would win the title and I guess I learned a valuable lesson as well.

So GREAT MATCH LADIES FOR A FANTASTIC FINAL AND CONGRATS LENA FOR A WONDERFUL MATCH AND YOUR FIRST WTA TITLE!!

Maybe Anna can start getting motivated to win hers.

What curse? There looks like a queue of Russians piling into the better half of the 10-20 rankings with a supporting wave of players in 20-30. Whats more they've nearly all got momentum moving forward. Whats even more, some of the people whose places they might take in the top 20 or top 10 seem to have the tennis equivalent of dark energy and have momentum in the other direction.
