Good match by both, it seems. Hopefully this means Alex is playing well again....Dani will face Dementieva in the QF's!

It was a really good match from the stats...Alex should be proud of her effort...

Phew! I had a bad feeling about this match...thought Dani just might go down, given her form lately. Yay, for Dani.

It's nice to hear that she was winning the big points, since there have been some signs of late that she is not as tough mentally as she used to be.

P.S. Better luck next time Alex......Alex has a lot of potential, and I hope she achieves it.

Exactly my sentiments.

Both had more winners than UFE, so that's a good sign.

Plus, she needs mental toughness.

She folded on all of the big points. The last set could have easily been 5-5 right now. Alexandra had FIVE game points when she got broken at 1-2, including 2 in a row. If she held there, it could have changed the entire match.

Oh well, on to Fed Cup.

Both girls played a great match, the stats don't lie.

Way to go Dani

Now it's time for revenge for that dismal performance you put me through in Paris again Dementieva

Alex has potential, but her mindset will never let her achieve what's she capable of. She is not near as great as she speaks of herself. Arrogance will continue to hold her down.

Nice match Alex. Try to play more on clay season, maybe your game will improve in this surface
