Venus to play Berlin instead of Serena...

HI there!

I hope this hasn't been posted before. I just read German newspaper (not BILD, but "Berliner Morgenpost" ) and it says that Venus will play Berlin instead of Serena. That's a quote by the tournament director.

Die German Open der Tennis-Damen vom 5. bis 11. Mai beim LTTC Rot-Weiß in Berlin finden ohne Serena Williams statt.

Thanks for the info, and no, it hasn't been posted before. Only some speculations that Venus could take Serena's place in the draw.
Well, it looks like Venus is getting after that n° 2 spot after all !
Now, the question is : is she going to withdraw from Rome ?

If this is true, I'd bet my life she does not play Rome.

In a certain other field of Occupation, they call this "Compliance" and one would be arrested for being a willing part of it

I wonder who they would arrest?

It certainly is not hard to look at all this and question things.

One player doesn't need points.
One player is in trouble of being seeded 3 at the French
They both avoid playing tournaments as much as possible
One withdraws
The other enters

Call me cynical.....

I love the Williamses because of that...
they do circles around the WTA and make them look stupid...
they win something like 90% of tournies they play when their is onl one of them

GO VENUS
GO SERENA
