Because you know they're not going to lose at Wimbledon or the US Open unless they're injured.

of course

A williams has won Wimbledon the last 3 years
A Williams has won the Us Open the last 4 years
and Venus has made the SF every year shes played it
and the woman who beat her the majority of the time has retired

The Williams Domination Has Only Just Begun

no i think this year has been very productive already

Kim has reached new heights, Justine has *to some extent* conquered hard courts, the W/S have been beaten when it was unexpected and there are quite a few titles going around without Williams participating in them.

i agree though, i think it will be classed as domination unless they dont win any of the next 3

no, anything could happen. they might have a bad day like both have them have had recently. but i agree that it would be extremely hard for someone to beat them at wimbledon or the us open but capriati hasn't won those 2 slams yet and if she wants them she just might be able to do something about it and lindsay isn't to bad in those tournaments either.

Capriati and Davenport Wont Win, This Is Why

Capriati doesnt have the mental strength
Davenport doesnt have the foot speed
Did you see her get Killled By Serena the other day, untill Serena had a lapse?
Did you see Venus' 6-2 6-1 spanking?

Capriatis serve is also a weakness, and unlike the sisters, when shes not serving well, it matters

As long as 25% of the threads turn to discussion of one or both of the Williams sisters, it's 'officially', a Williams Dominated Year.

Can we talk please talk about somebody else til two days before J&S Cup?

Can we talk please talk about ANYbody else til two days before J&S Cup?

How's this for a change of subject?

"The United States was founded on the principle that the Rule of Law was superior to the Rule of Man."

Aren't all nations founded on that principle?

The real question is "who makes the law"

In a dictatorship, the dictator makes the law.

In a monarchy, the monarchy makes the law.

In all forms of government law is enforced by the ability to inflict harm upon those who violate those laws. Harm can be a fine or harm could be an atom bomb.

Only in a state of anarchy do we have the true "rule of man"

However once the strongest man tells everyone else what they have to do in his absence (sp) you are back to the "rule of law".

If your fave's coach isn't Richard Williams, that's just her first problem...

Sorry, I am in a permanent state of denial in which the only ladies who ever won the French were Chris E., Monica S. and Mama Smash (oops wasn't supposed to mention a Williams, sorry).

And since you hate Chris Evert The Great, my all time fave, and I don't want to talk about anything that might lure selesrules into this thread...

...How about this, would most of you consider Iva M. the worst player of the last 30 years that's won the French?

Not a diss, I like the party girl and think she has a better game than her results, but if you ranked all the French champions of the last 30 years, would she come in last place?

With the men, so many guys who can only play on the dirt have won, that its hard to pick the worst player [although he's probably from Spain - and hasn't won any other Slam] but because the women aren't as specialized...

It already is asured of a Williams domination! Serena won the oz...they have a good chance of winning the RG and then the slam season is over for the hopefuls! If other players can't win RG, then how are they gonna win Wimbledon and the Open which are Williams Playground?! A Williams GRAND SLAM now that would be cool!!
