Bucharest to replace WTA Budapest Grand Prix?

The information was posted last evening by the romanian Prime Minister. If this is true it would be a great event for all this great ladys to finaly play an WTA Tournament home.
But there is no official confirmation from the WTA committee for now.

This would be brilliant! Romania are pretty strong in the Top 100 so they would deserve it.

good for romania
but also sad for Budapest, they did a good job to organise the tournament after the flooding of the Venue just few weeks before the tournament this year

Boo.

Szavay, look what you did.

if you have nothing important to say, please do so in non-tennis forum. if you have something you think is important, but is actually rubbish regarding anything other than tennis - please do so in the non-tennis forum. if you have something tennis related to say, but it's actually "OMG, X player is so h0t!1" or "who has the biggest boobs on the wtatour" please do so in menstennisforum, under "wta forum". if you have something important, tennis-related and interesting to say please do so. No one in the world can understand how much tennis means to someone, except another fan.

Re: Bucharest to replace WTA Budapest Grand Prix

That's a good decision - now when Hungary is left without very good players they could move that tournament to Czech Republic or Romania. I hope that Sorana will play there and win
So if it is true, it would be the same venue as it is in ATP?

Re: Bucharest to replace WTA Budapest Grand Prix

LMAO, Prime Minister of Romania had to announce it. WTF?
And my little suggestion, better move it before Roland Garros. There are no many tournaments to prepare to RG these days. Maybe during Estoril week?

Is a good way to pull more votes. Tennis it's very apreciated in Romania by people, especially by intelectuals and the Prime Minister it's involed in any big activities in romanian sport in general. He knows what he's doing.
