Very interesting point raised by Lindsay about Kim ...

Q. A lot of questions to Kim Clijsters was, "How do you beat the Williams girls"? I'd like to ask you, how do you beat Kim Clijsters?

LINDSAY DAVENPORT: I think those three have been playing at a level above all the other players. Kim was so close at the Australian Open to getting through to the finals, and I think she had a good shot of winning.

But I think Kim, you know, is playing with a lot of confidence right now. She kind of turned the tide last year winning some tournaments in Europe, then winning the season-ending tournament for herself. She's very fast, playing with more confidence and more sure of herself. I think that you've got to attack her.

But it's tough. I mean, a lot of it is going to depend on how she's playing that day.

-----------------------------
I think that Lindsay knows more about the tennis game than any poster in here. I find it funny when a lot of people, says that Kim wins only when her oponent is off (her wins over Linds, Henin, Chanda..), ok Lindsay says, it depends on how Kim is playing. Thanks Lindsay for this insight.

Kim is appeasing the tennis gods

It's true her draws have been easy but so far when she's had to play a top ten player..like Henin-Hardenne or Davenport..she has still won

well sofiane
that's the story of our favourite players

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night

Lindsay always knows what she is talking about...one of the several reasons why she is one of my fave players.

I feel Kim is pretty inbeatable, against Ai she did not play at all well, it was such a broing match. I mean I like Ai and everything, but it was poor poor poor!!!

I feel the player most likely to beat Clijsters are those with good power and consistant groundstrokes like V, Rena, J. Cap, Davenport, Jelena etc. but they would have to play very well in order to win those sets.

A mute point because Kim or Big Davey will lose to either SERENA or VENUS anyway.

And she always has the easier seeds in her draw anyway. I like Kim, but I would like her to start winning with some tougher draws.

I agree, Jen especially, she has never lost to Kim. Lindsay has a hard time against Kim because Kim changes the pace of the ball a lot and Lindsay doesn't like that, she always wants the ball to come back hard and flat.
