Players have generally played to their talent level. Serena and Li are dominating. Kvitty played well, but didn't have enough to beat Serena or Li. The best players with the biggest games have advanced. There were three semifinal spots that depended on the outcome of the last RR round, so no irrelevant matches.

I see nothing whatever to complain about. Lovely tournament. To hell with this idea that because the rallies weren't long enough, or Pova was absent, or Vika lost, therefore the quality was somehow low. There have been plenty of interesting, high-quality matches. The final will be very interesting, especially if Serena and Li make it, both undefeated.
lol, it is great for you as long as Sharapova and Azarenka aren't around. What a stupid fool. You know nothing about tennis or quality.

If you're a fan of blondes, this tournament has sucked. If you're a fan of tennis, it's been great. Only downer is Azarenka being hurt.

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

Overall this was a pretty trashy year for these top 8! Besides Serena and Vika none of them showed constant tennis. They had solid results and that is it! Maria played good tennis but she got injured sadly.

Itīs a weaker tournament but the players are drought out and injuries are following them. So letīs hope Sinapoore will be better.

Yeah, some YECs in Doha were even worse, though.

Let's not hope for a repeat of the US Open semi between Na and Serena. Horrible match

Azarenka - Pennetta - Hantuchova - Ivanovic - Wozniacki - Stephens - Stosur

This.

I have enjoyed the matches this year so far. There have been plenty good matches with incredible points. I noticed at every Grand slam or every big tournaments, there have always someone tried to open threads of the likes : " Is this one ( Slam, YEC) the worst ever ?" trying to grab attention.
That's tiresome and repetition.

Real tennis fans enjoy tennis. There are many fans going to challengers to watch no-name-players and found them playing very good. It's a disgrace that you can't find anything interesting while the best players in the world playing. Time to switch to another sports.

Earthlings in a metal crate accelerate with poker faces..

This YEC has been mostly gross behavior. I do not like it at all!

Bad matches and most players in bad form. For reasons we may never know, or know but never chlorinate.

Name the "plenty good matches with incredible points."

Boy, a conversation sure can be riddled with exorbitant debt.

Re: Is 2013 One of the worse YEC in history?

Instead of “the worst in history”,I'd like to say all the players qualified for this tournament over the past 3-4 years have not done so much to turn the quality for the better.

The colour of the surface was the worst to me.So glad there will be a new start next year because I've been so busy for 4 days finding the damn ball with that colour at work.Cant take that anymore, sorry.

Human beings are prone to comparision and comparision sets jealousy in motion.

It actually is . Not any matches to remember really . An injured Azarenka, a dominating Serena, I cannot recall a single match this year which was very good .

It's been pretty uneventful. It doesn't compare to the Doha horrors, though.
