Now that Martina has retired-Shouldn't Melanie coach Anna?

I imagine that Anna has a better serve and of course can move faster than Martina can right now, so won't it make sense for Anna to ask Melanie to be her coach?

Also, shouldn't Martina come back to play doubles only at least? We shouldn't be cheated of her doubles skills..that is so unfair!!!!!!!!!!!

When I think of life, sometimes my response is "Oh Damn!". But I still think of life anyway, "Oh Damn!!!"

Well considering that even Martina Hingis didnt have a great serve, it would be nice to see Melanie helping Anna.

And Martina coming back to play doubles is a great idea. There's less court to cover. Maybe her and the "original" martina willl play together?? It's a dream...

Anna has a great coach in Harold. Melanie may be good....but at this point I don't think anyone could help....Anna has to find a way to get out of this ridiculous mental shit herself.

I think Hingis always had a better serve than Anna.

Hingis had a much better serve than Anna, she always got a lot of first serves in also; it was her second serve that did her in against the top players.

I don't think Anna is smart enough for Melanie to coach.

Of course she prefers to coach Myriam since she is a better prospect and she normally works with Swiss girls anyway. Lots of people have been saying she should coach Anna but i dont get the connection there. Just because Martina and Anna were doubles partners, doesnt mean Melanie has to coach Anna.

I like Anna and think she is very talented, but she has a very good coach right now. If Harold can't get through to her, I seriously doubt that Melanie Molitor has the patience to do the job nor would Melanie tolerate any distractions. In reading Martina's interview last year in Sports Illustrated, I realized for the first time how tough Melanie has been on Martina and I think she would apply that toughness to Anna. Given Anna's own temperment and how badly her relationship with the equally mercurial Eric Van Harpen turned out, I think Anna is better off with a coach who is as even tempered as Harold Soloman.

I don't think Melanie wants to travel around anymore in the "coaching" field. She is supposed to be helping (coaching, training) Myriam Casanova in Switzerland...but on Swiss soil....she does not travel with her. Anna has a great coach in Solomon......and its been a formidable task to say the least!!
