Unhappy Help!!!

The war is really disturbing me!

I am finding that the tennis is suddenly exceedingly dreary and boring to me. I need your help!

Can someone please tell a funny tennis story or a happy or inspiring tennis anecdote to help pull me out of my tennis doldrums??

Many thanks in advance.

LOL, Leena! You are right; I have been quite negligent in my fan duties toward Elena B. Maybe I unconsciously figured, Elena has a new #1 fan doing all the hard cheering work now, so I slacked off.

I just used your link & read your "Welcome" speech, which I had not read before. And, I did laugh out loud . Thanks!

LOL

Lena needs more fans... many, many more fans.

And she's the reason why I'm not bored with tennis... so it might work.

janie

isn't the fact that Justine is playing again cheering you up?

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night

to me, tennis just seems to unimportant right now. I hope I can get up for watching Miami--if it's not pre-empted due to war coverage

Hi irma!!
I do think when Justine, Monica, Lindsay, Amélie, & Eleni actually play, it will help! (Elena B too, of course, Leena!)

I think Lena is the player and Leena is the poster

Go to wimbledon.org and watch the archive videos...there's one of the match with steffi and venus. There are tons of interviews too.

That can bring your love for tennis back up again...it did wonders for me.

When I think of life, sometimes my response is "Oh Damn!". But I still think of life anyway, "Oh Damn!!!"

Thanks, mccardel! Sure, I will give it a shot.

Just the fact that people are taking the time to answer my plea is cheering me up a bit.

I know. It was a reference to another Russian player. (See pic to left). We've joked about this in various threads B4.

Yes Janie, the War between Anna Kournikova fans is tiresome! Bu there is a big match tonight between Anna Kournikova and Dinara Safina. Maybe you'v eheard about it!

Seriously Lady Jane, just treat tennis the way it should be. And that's as an enjoyable activity for us playing tennis and being fans of tennis. And try to watch some of your favorites great matches if you have the time and tapes!

Happiness is like a cat. If you try to coax it or call it, it will avoid you. It will never come. But if you pay no attention to it and go about your business, you'll find it rubbing up against your legs and jumping into your lap. - William Bennett

But that's a good idea. I do have Steffi winning FO 1999 on a tape somewhere! That is excitng to watch!

I thought the Sixers might help tonite, but I guess it was not to be -- the Pistons are crushing them.
