Question Decrease in Tennis TV Coverage because of War?

Do you think ESPN will decrease tennis coverage of the upcoming Nasdaq-100 tournament cuz of the current world situation?

I know that all the NCAA tournaments will be pushed from CBS, NBC, ABC, etc. to ESPN and ESPN2 because the major channels will cover the war situation 24/7...which of course will eat into the time previously alotted to tennis. And we all know the popularity of tennis when compared to basketball.

Tennis is Life.

no, not espn, but i think that the major network that is broadcasting the finals and semis might, wait, who is broadcasting the later stages? Fox? Cbs? Nbc? if its any of them or the other big network or stupid ABC, then yea, they may cut off our tennis coverage for live reports. I'm still juss praying that the oscars will go on, because its a huge part of our american culture and by putting it off, it means that we are letting those terrorists and iraqis get what they want, to hald american lives, and that is so not gonna happen.

Oh god. That would be truy awful. I hope they can schedule their bombing patterns not to interfere with any tournaments from say, the quarter finals onwards. And the Oscars! Please dont cancel it - its so important to know which rich person is gonna get a piece of gold. God forbid a small irritation like war should interfere with a party night for some over-privileged egoists.

I'm sure the LAST thing any normal minded person anywhere except LA is thinking about is the Oscars.

At some point the tv networks are going to have to realize that many, many people won't want to keep staring at nothing but Iraq coverage on every network 24/7. Some of us like to enjoy tv shows & sports as a way to ESCAPE from all this!
I hope this realization won't take too many days. There is always CNN for those who want minute-by-minute war coverage & endless "expert" opinions. Why does it have to be on every other channel, too?

I think the Nasdaq coverage on espn/espn2 will be decreased because like you said, NCAA men basketball is more important in their eyes than tennis. If their smart, they will show the tennis matches at 12a.m-6 a.m instead of reairing basketball games (which they sometimes do).

I really think a tennis channel that shows important tournaments is needed. ESPN'S COVERAGE OF TENNIS SUCKS
