Year-end Championships

Just ask, where will the tour championships be held, and on which surface?

Plus, what is the current name of the event's main sponsor? Porsche?

For some odd reason on the wtatour.com's logo for the event it's called The Home Depot Championships Presented by Porsche but the raw text calls it Tour Championships Presented by Porsche. *shrug*

Williams x2 Clijsters Golovin Ivanovic Li Jackson
Federer Blake Fish Roddick Grosjean Bryans x2

Hmm...interesting point cariosity....did you also notice that in the players' profiles it's called "Season-Ending Championships", instead of Home Depot Championships? The old website used to call it by the sponsor name, "Virginia Slims Championships", "Chase Championships", but not anymore....maybe the sponsorship is tenuous?

it could be a serious lack of updating like the weight of some players . hire me WTA, I'll update!

I was at the season ending champs last year and people in LA were really confused. They thought the Home Depot Championships presented by Porsche was some kind of home improvement-motor vehicle exhibit. A lot of people had NO idea that it was related to tennis, because it didn't mention tennis at all! So I think the WTA needs to stick in Women's Tennis somehow. Venus & Serena Championships sponsored by Home Depot presented by Porsche at the Staple Arena. That would make it more clear.

maybe they could call it the Wta championships presented by Porche and Home Depot....Home Depot sponsoring a women's event? Isn't that like calling the women carpenters or something hardware cos it doesn't sound feminine at all....

When I think of life, sometimes my response is "Oh Damn!". But I still think of life anyway, "Oh Damn!!!"

All they have to do is shoehorn in a "WTA". The Hope Depot WTA Championships presented by Porsche.
Or how about The Home Depot Women's Tennis Association Tour Championships presented by Porsche featuring the World's Top Female Tennis Players at The Staples Center? Then award any fan who can remember all of that free tickets.
