The better matchup: Kim vs which Williams?

(For the purposes of this thread, we're ignoring Venus's retirement at the tour championships. Hamburg is a far more interesting case.)

You've seen both matchups recently.
You'll likely see them both again soon.

Kim vs Venus
Kim vs Serena

Kim lost last time out to both.
Kim beat both last year.

Which match do you prefer watching?

Why?

kim vs serena, i guess. they just seem to have had more exciting encounters, though i didn't see hamburg 02. however, i thought their aus open semifinal this year was extremely dull and not very well played.

also, because there is more history between serena and kim.

recently...Serena/Kim

I think the reason Serena "struggles" more against players [Kim, Jen] is because Venus is still the more consistent one of the two

clearly kim vs. venus would be much more entertainig. when it comes to these matchup both players are playing well (kim always seems to play a decent game against the sisters) but when it comes to kim playing serena, as of late serena has been off. I don't like their matchups b/c if serena is off, the match becomes close for no reason, and if serena is on, clijsters is gone like 6-3 6-3. I can say the same about venus, but really venus learns from her mistakes, and doesn't have these types of marathon matches. She was whipping kim in hamburg, and like kim said she let her in by starting to make errors, and that match became more complicated that what venus intended. After that all their other matches except for i believe 1, venus has cruzed against Kim.

I prefer Kim vs. Serena because it's like an all out fight whereas Kim vs. Venus is just domination on one side. K vs. V, 2 3-set matches; K vs. S 4 3-set matches

Williams x2 Clijsters Golovin Ivanovic Li Jackson
Federer Blake Fish Roddick Grosjean Bryans x2

Kim versus Serena match in and match out will be more competitive. Serena will tend to give her more than say Venus.

Beat'em down Ms Williams, beat'em down!
SERENA PRINCESS OF POWER

Victoria Duval - coming to a slam near you
Françoise Abanda definitely a future #1 --- Taylor Townsend devastation on the march
Venus and Serena ferocious grannies --- Kimiko Date Krumm great granny still doing her thing.

Kim vs Serena

I think Venus has been playing the best out of anyone so far in 2003. It's just she has a mental block that hurts her when she plays Serena.

and you call a player giving away points/the match more competitive? i would much rather what a winning competitive "positive" match before i watch a winning "negative" match. thus venus vs. kim would be much more entertaining.

Well if they consistently go three sets or to tiebreaks yes. But if you are not talking competitive but rather entertaining that is a different poll.
