I like "Spirit" because of its varied meanings. It's the root word of the word spiritual
, which is important to me because I don't like chaotic craziness. (Some of you may ask, "What are you doing here, then?"
) Yet "spirit" also means the vital, animating force inside me, and it can also mean fierce determination and dedication against all odds.
It's not the most poetic or beautiful word in the English language, but it's the neatest word I've ever found. For a two-syllable, six-letter word, it packs a lot of punch in a very subtle way.
I only joined WTAWorld last year, so I was very pleased to find the name "Spirit" available. Usually, someone else has taken it.
If anyone else is also a figure skating fan, I post as "Spirit889" on various figure skating EZBoard forums, such as Golden Skate.
