Maybe it's not boring, but of course I'd have preferred to see her playing.

Re: Does Anyone Think That the US Open Is Boring Without Sharapova?

The Sugarpova shit would have spiced it up a bit, that's true!

Seriously though, it's always bad when a top player has to WD (except for a couple of Italians)...

Of course, because America = the world.
Ironic considering the lack of support for your favourite player in her very own country

Also 90% of this thread is being circled by vultures

Boy im really not a Sugarpova fan, I didnt realize this sad fact. I coulda sworn she has had more deep runs at the US Open. WOW.
I actually miss her presence because it generates press for the WTA only.

I don't think it's because of Sharapova, but imo the US Open are a bit boring this year.

Flop! Look up flop in the dictionary and Venus Williams picture is there. Keep playing Vee, I need some good laughs.

Re: Does Anyone Think That the US Open Is Boring Without Sharapova?

Yes. No Maria is just meh. The level of bitchness that resonates within a tournament is non-existent if the Serena/Maria PR machine isn't around. Azarenka just can't replace Sharapova. She's dull, definitely not as American and an has the PR skills of a cockroach. Sometimes, a game just isn't enough to be a one of the top WTA stars.
