Indian Wells: Will Daniela repeat as champion and stay top 5?

She has a motherlode of points to defend (while Hingis continues to drop and drop from the rankings).

What do you think?

BARBIE
is coming for your towel, too.

I don't think she will defend.

This title, I believe, is between Kim, Monica, and Lindsay.

Never say never but I believe Daniela has the slimmest chance (no pun intended) of repeating here.

The WTAworld Quote Hall of Fame (recent entries):
"All this year Kim has been have catwalk draws ..." - leslie, on Kim Clijsters' easy draws in 2003
"I wanna see Anna, I bet I could tape that ass" - SerenaSlam, on fan perception of Anna K.
"n I am more of a retard, yes." - gogomaggie
"she has a face of a cereal killer" - Naldo, on Serena Williams

Dani won't win... she'll drop to #8 in the rankings. Such is life.

It's more than obvious that Daniela won't defend this title, that was the biggest fluke of 2002. Fortunely, later in the year, Hingis showed everyone she could actually face Daniela equally and thanks to GOD she won the match in straight sets. It was clear that her victory in IW wasn't nothing but pure and real fluke!

She won't win it, and she will lots of points. She doesn't deserve to be on the top 5, and this is what's gonna happen from now on.

Biggest fluke of 2002, Bernardo? lmao

Is that why afterwards, Daniela had lots of great wins and proceded to end the year ranked 8?

I think the biggest fluke of 2002 was Alexandra actually beating a top player three times, for she did nothing else but shit for the rest of the season

Iva Majoli would have to be fluke of 2002, winning Charleston Tier I, and doing jack shit otherwise.

Nope, Iva Majoli deserve to win Charleston but Daniela Hantuchova? No offenise, her half draw was sooo weakest! She only played seeded players are Justine Henin who doesn't well on US Hardcourts and Lisa Raymond. Oh yeah, I forget to add Martina Hingis who played bad at that day.

Inspiration is for amateurs

Yeah james

Alex defeated Jennifer three times! How can that be a fluke? Daniela won Indian Wells only once.. Will she do it three times? Do you think she's able to do it? No she's not.. I'm just hoping that IW comes faster than ever just to rub it on your face the reality!

BTW This thread is about Daniela, so let's stick with her. If you want to discuss on Alexandra please open a new thread about her...

kim, monica and lindsay have all ben fairly up and down lately.

kim not so much but she really should have beaten serena at AO and sugiyama in scottsdale. maybe she is getting tired towards the end of tournaments.

monica has had good results and bad results. she could reach the final or she could go out in the 2nd or 3rd or 4th round.

lindsay won that title and backed it up with a lose early in scottsdale. she is doing the same sort of thing as monica.

if hantuchova plays these ladies on a bad day then she could go past them and win.

Go the aussies! stosur!!!
and good luck russians: dementieva, safina, kirilenko, sharapova, kuznetsova, bovina, zvonareva, dushevina.

also good luck to: azarenka, lucic, sprem, vakulenko, vaidisova, safarova, ivanovic, groenefeld, mirza, krajicek, kvitkova, larcher de brito, lisicki.

That's the only thing she can hope for to beat these girls now.

she'll go into a freefall. this is her very first title defence, and i predict that she won't fare very well. i say she's out before the quarterfinals, and she;ll fall to #8 and i think she'll be a little down on herself because of her failure to win, or even advance to the quarters, and she'll have to fight for a spot in the bottom of the top 10.
