Question So was the crowd mean to Kim this time?

After all the hoopla how the Belgium public treated Kim CLijsters opponents in Antwerp, I am wondering if the crowd in Scottsdale gave Kim the same treatment when she was up against home town fave Meghan Shaunessey?

I didn't notice any of it on tv. It's only normal that the crowd supports there home country players. It gives a great atmosphere and as a 'top' player you should be ready to handle that.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.

not everyone was rude...

there were some nasty kim fans over there, but you have those everywhere. Venus got a well deserved applause if she made a nice shot

bitch u must not get it, from the posts, and the people being there, the crowds were the exact same, some people "like u" just forget to open up they fuckin ears, or u are just a "kid" still and immature, and can't put certain clues "topics" together.

No, the crowd seems to be even in rooting for both players.

What you mean the American crowd wasn't overwhelmingly for the Underdog???

How is that possible? I thought the American crowd was "Always" for the Underdog and will jeer & boo close line calls cause they want to see a new winner? I guess that is not "True" all the time. hmmmmm?????

Haven't you people learned anything yet. They were two white girls playing the crowd is not going to boo either one of them and they will root evenly for both. The only people who are booed is V/S. If Serena was playing Megan tonight the crowd would be behind Megan and if Serena was playing Kim tonight the would be behind Kim. Why don't you people open your eyes and see the difference the crowd rooted the same way for both players tonight from what little of the boring match I saw.
