Monica Seles is still a part of the WTA tour...

But the Hamburg tournament is not.

So long dudes, it will be nice not knowing you!

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

God guys grow up.. I am a Monica fan - but old enpough to know that it was not the tournaments fault - no amount of security will ever protect a player from someone like that - if he wanted to get her, he would have found a way and a different place... It's a shame Hamburg has gone as it has been a very successful event for over 10 years!

If only a certain person wasn't a part of WTAworld any longer ... oh wait, we have already had that for one week. Those were the times ...

Pathetic.

You are welcome. And I expected you to post something like this. Although it's a waste, because you already stated your opinion on this matter. To quote you: "MWAHHHHHHAAA HAAAAAHAA HAAAHAA HA!"

Yes, I am bitter that the tournament is gone (not as bitter as you are about some other things). But as long as it doesn't move to Canada, I'm fine.

Oh, and BTW: I'm sure that your 2nd favourite is at least as happy about the fact that Hamburg is gone as you, considering she is the defending champion. Not that you care about that, of course, as you don't even have 1% of her class.

Hey, you are right. Those were my exact words. But waving has a nice effect too. You forgot to wave. Come, GoDominique, wave for us.

I'm thinking Kim doesn't need Hamburg, and if she really wants Tier II Champion points I doubt she has anything personal against Poland. And I don't think you have to worry much about a Tier II Clay event in the beginning of May moving to Canada.

Yeah! Finally they're gone!

Visit MONICA!

I am a sinner too!
Jesus answered and said to him[Nicodemus, a Pharisee],"Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again[of the Spirit/above], he cannot see the kingdom of God."--John 3:3

Good works can't save you from hell!! Jesus loves you and wants to be in your heart and mind!!!

I will worship Jesus forever!

Cheering for the death of tennis in Germany? Charming.

I feel sorry for the Germans. In case anyone's forgotten, the knife that went through Monica's back was from a crazed lunatic who had NOTHING to do with the tournament. It's outrageous to claim that the tournament wanted Monica injured when she's one of the biggest stars there.

The Germans have lost the Grand Slam Cup, the WTA Championships in 2001 and now the Betty Barclay Cup. And all were very big tournaments

Maybe if that retarded Putcher-or-whatever-his-name-is gets put behind bars, then Monica would return to Germany then Hamburg wouldn't be as universally despised then the tournament will still be on.

That has nothing to do with Monica, but Steffi and Anke's retirements. I hear that tennis is not very popular there now.

As much as I like Monica, I will miss the Hamburg tournament. It was a nice little warmup to the French Open and always had great matches.

And I will miss Anke and Steffi. Both were (IMO) the best tennis players to have ever come out from Germany.

If Monica wasn't injured in AO, she'd be ranked much higher I'm sure. Nastya will be soon too

The tournament had a responsibility to its players to ensure their security on court. And they failed. Add another vote to the list of fans glad they have received the boot... although it comes 10 years too late.
