Has Serena ever lost a match where she was playing well?

According to Serena fans all of her losses in the last year were because she was not playing well:

Cincinnati 2012 to Kerber: she didn't care/didn't want to win
Australian Open 2013 to Stephens: ankle injury
Doha 2013 to Azarenka: didn't serve well
Wimbledon 2013 to Lisicki: got tight at the end
Cincinnati 2013 to Azarenka: played at 30%

So my question is: has there ever been a match where Serena did play well (let's say at least 70%), but still lost?

2009 USO SF. Kim outclassed her for the whole match. Surreal.

USO 2009. She was outplayed by Kim. To Serena's credit though, since JH retired no one was able to puish her as much as Clijsters etc./ Deep shots, hard serves, good mentality.

Did she play well when she lost to Hingis in Melbourne 01?

Yes I can only think of few matches: the famous 2009 uso vs clijsters, the famous rg vs henin, and may be some losses vs capriati or davenport back in early 2000 but I didn't follow tennis back in those years

I would agree with US Open 2009 SF and the first set of US Open 2007 QF.
Kim and Justine were playing at their absolute best. It's really a shame both of them retired that early. But they were really prone to injury.

Rest in Peace Bally!

Wimbledon 2008 is the best example. Shame it didn't go three sets.
