Re: The most dominant tournament win of your favorite player?

Jarka's win in Guangzhou is still pretty impressive. Only dropped 15 games through 5 matches, including a 38 minute SF 0 and 1 domination

Hobart was better in terms of players beaten, and she also didn't drop a set.

As for Ana, I'd say either her FO win where she only dropped one set to JJ and dished out a double bagel, or her 2010 Linz run (her first title won without dropping a set).

Re: The most dominant tournament win of your favorite player?

2007 Rome was pretty impressive - A-Bond took the most games off JJ (at 9) and as the tournament went on JJ became more clinical.

All Davenport slams were straight sets, very few tiebreakers, very dominant

Peak Pierce win on Hilton Head in 2000, she just trashed anyone in front of her.

US Open 2007. Didn't drop a set and beat Serena, Venus, Kuzzie and Safina en route.

Re: The most dominant tournament win of your favorite player?

USO 2002 and the 2012 Olympics from Serena. And I'd say Wimbledon 2007 from the 4th round on for Venus. Once she got to Centre Court, she was unbeatable.

Serena Williams
21-Time Grand Slam Champion

6 AO ('03, '05, '07, '09, '10, '15) 3 FO ('02, '13, '15)
6 WBN ('02, '03, '09, '10, '12, '15) 6 USO ('99, '02, '08, '12, '13, '14)

Re: The most dominant tournament win of your favorite player?

Venus's USO '01 run is fairly underrated. Never dropping more than 7 games in a match, completely dismissing Clijsters, Capriati and Serena in the final 3 rounds in very routine fashion.

And apparently that whole tournament she was feeling sick.

Re: The most dominant tournament win of your favorite player?

Ana's Linz 2010. She didn't lose a set and she was losing (average) 2-3 games per match. Just once she played TB and once to 7-5, other sets she won without dropping more than 3 games
