Angie/Vento-Kabchi def. (4) Kuznetsova/Navratilova 6-4 7-6 in QF at Doha, Qatar

omg.... how did angie and vento recover so quickly from their singles matches coz both of them played 3 sets in their singles matches and lost 6-4 4-6 1-6 and 6-0 3-6 4-6 respectively....

and this is definitely a big win for angie and vento, given the short amount of recovery time.....

I gotta agree. This is a surprising result. I've never seen Angie play doubles but she must have a talent for it. She already has one doubles title on the tour. Good for her. Would also like to see Martina N. do well. Maybe next time.

Welldone Maria you have showed you can be a great doubles player.
Its her second win versus Martina Navratilova in doubles. Last one was in 2002 Standford when she teamed Panova.

The most interesting thing about the win was that Angie actually was injured in her singles match, that she had blood come out from her toes, it was very painful she said(source Angie's site.. her Mom actually posted the news for Angie's fans)

Maju terus Tenis Indonesia!

Widjaja-Kabchi In Doubles Final !!!

They did it again! Maria Vento-Kabchi and Angie Widjaja defeated the #1 seeds in the doubles (Black-Likhovtseva) in the semi-finals of Doha today. They will play Lee-Prakusa, an experienced team, in the final tomorrow. Amazing. Good for them!
