Well there goes her chances of winning a grand slam

He looked deep into his eyes and said, "You're perfect."

"No, I'm not. But with you, I don't even care."

Oh, nice! So now I have clearance to start daydreaming that being a coach and traveling on tour will make her realise that she wants to compete again. #justgreat #openingoldwounds #deeplyappreciateitnot

Re: Elena Dementieva in talks with Eugenie Bouchard to become her coach!

Eugenie better hire a serve coach or sign an agreement that Elena will stay away from tinkering with her serve

I will repeat a point I made tis he Bartoli vs Dementiava "who is greater thread", because it is a propos here.
I argue in that thread, the only way a non-Slam winner can be considered for TOF, is to make significant contributions to tennis after his/her retirement.
Some examples are but not limited to successful broadcaster, coaching players to winning grand Slams, leadership in the ATP or WTA that shape the direction of the said organization for the better, etc..

Elena is on her way to doing that. To that end, chosing to coach a youngster is perfect.

Re: Elena Dementieva in talks with Eugenie Bouchard to become her coach!

Why would she want to become a traveling coach when she saw what it was like for her mother? Also, after traveling around so much with her husband to hockey games and such, does she really want to continuing the traveling lifestyle? She seemed so pleased to have retired. Well, I hope things work out.

I think Elena could do wonders to bringing in even more fitness into Eugenie's game, and helping her get more consistent off the ground on the regular.

I don't get this. I thought she retired because she wanted to raise a family...

It's all part of a secret plan to trick Eugenie to train Elena back into shape and teach her how to serve. That way she can come back and win them all!

there is a difference of wanting to get pregnant and actually being pregnant. Sometimes it just doesn't happen
