The Great WTA TENNIS GAME (European Version) is now available in the USA

Hello!

I have additional copies of the European(PAL) release of "WTA Tour Tennis" This is the game that was NOT released in the US. it has 100 tennis players and a world tour of 60+ tournaments with a career mode spanning 10 seasons on the WTA circuit. It is an entirely different PS2 game than the one released here in the US. I converted the game from PAL to NTSC. The game is great and the thread that talks about the game is 30 pages long.

It *WILL* play on your PS2 and you will *NOT* need a modchip for the PS2. You will *NOT* need a PAL TV either. All you will need is a Gameshark CD (about $25-$40, depending where you get it) and a small paper clip or object. It is really simple, you just manually push the lever on the PS2 and inssert the WTA game and push the lever back. It's very easy to do and you do not need to modify yor PS2 or open it up.

I will provide the CD and instructions on how to "swap trick" the PS2 into playing the game. The whole process takes about 2 minutes longer to boot up the game and then it runs fine

I have plenty of eBay references and I am a trusted verified paypal member. I am charging $20 for the game, shipping included. If you have any questions, please PM me! Thanks!

Sports fans who yearn for tennis action all year round can get their hands on the world’s best players in WTA Tour Tennis.
Players on offer include Jelena Dokic, Jennifer Capriati, Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport, Monica Seles and Martina Hingis, each complete with their real life strengths and weaknesses.
And if you ever get bored of playing with Jelana Dokic you can create your own player and enter them into the career mode to work their way through the ranks and become number one.

finally!!! hingis and jennifer!

This game has 20 pros and 20 unlockable pros. Once you beat the "unlocked" pro, you can rename them and use them in exhibition competitions. Because of licesning, the unlocked pros have names like Vanessa Willis, Elena Demetradze, Anna Kleinova etc., but then you can rename them!

Gameshark is necessary because the PS2 will not recognize a cd-r or a game from outside the region. Once the gameshark cd has been loaded, you bypass the ps2 having to read the disc. Otherwise, the ps2 would tell you that the game is not a valid ps2 disc

What does PM stand for. Also, can you make up yor own years. For example, can you go in the future 5 years from now.

PM is private message.

Under my name here, it says PM, click it and it sends me a message.

Well, you can rename some players, and the years are not set in stone, it just says year 1, year 2, year 3 etc,.

I have logged all of my matches and my head to head meetings. I am currently in my 6th year as a pro and have saved all my records: tourneys won, head to head records, ranking etc.,

To all those people in America that want the BEST (and most realistic) tennis game, I thoroughly recommend this one. I have Sega Sports Tennis (aka Virtua Tennis 2 in Europe & Australia) and it is very good, esp for inexperienced gamers. But this version of WTA Tennis is much more realistic in terms of gameplay and the world tour. And you have so many more players to choose from.

I just played an exhibition doubles Hingis (me) & Arantxa v Venus & Lindsay on Hard mode and we just got walloped 6-2, 6-0. But I loved it! We had one double fault, 6 unforced errors and no aces. Lindsay & Venus had 3 aces and 1 double fault with 5 errors. There were many great rallies, but also many quick points. This game is very realistic. Whereas I find in Sega Tennis everyone plays the same and there isn't as much variety with the gameplay. Don't get me wrong, I like it a lot, but I love this version of WTA Tennis. But you have to remember the graphics are nowhere near as good, but that isn't the point. The gameplay and the world tour excellent!!! The best tennis game out there.

Fave recent players: .. Seles .. Hingis .. Serena .. Venus .. Federer .. Roddick .. Hewitt .. Haas .. Rafter .. Safin .. Radwanska ..
60s/70s: Evonne Goolagong .. Francoise Durr .. Chris Evert .. Margaret Court .. Nancy Richey .. Maria Bueno .. Billie-Jean King .. Lesley Turner .. Virginia Wade .. Ken Rosewall .. Rod Laver .. Bjorn Borg ..
Entertainers: .. Diana Ross .. Dionne Warwick .. Shirley Bassey .. Randy Crawford .. Burt Bacharach .. ABBA .. Woody Allen .. Maggie Smith .. Gena Rowlands .. Judy Davis .. Heath Ledger .. Little Britain ..
Inspiration: .. Jeshua Ben Josepth .. Conversations with God .. Abraham with Esther & Jerry Hicks .. P'taah ..

Well I just had another game of doubles, this time on 'Normal' mode instead of hard and Hingis (me) & Monica beat Lindsay & Venus at Rome on Clay 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7-3) ! We came back from 2-5 in the final set and saved a match point at 4-5. It was very exciting - LOL.

Stats:
Aces Them - 3, Us - 2
Double Faults Them - 3, Us - 0
Unforced Errors Them - 11, Us - 19
Total Points Them - 101, Us - 98 (they won more points than us)
Service Speed Max Them - 190, Us - 156
Break Points Them - 9/11 Us - 8/15

Anyway, just wanted to say it was one of the best matches I have ever had on this game. Oizo put me onto playing doubles exhibitions and it's great fun. Thanks Oizo

thanks Craig for the mini-review! It is a great game! I do think its the best tennis game ever - mainly because of the realistic world tour mode!

To anyone that still wants the game, please PM me your email address, so I can send you all the info you will need. Thanks!
