I guess you don't know her history with Zheng Jie then? I would consider her a tricky opponent

The SF between Radwanska sisters looks rather intruguing

What has she don't so earth shattering for 2013 that would lead you to believe she would be tricky? She hasn't done much at all. Look who she lost to this year. Last year was last year but this year she has been unimpressive.

Re: 2013 Main Draw (for easy reference)

OMG just saw Radwanska´s quarter. This has to be a joke. there is literally no in-form player, no grass-court talent, nothing.

I am not a fan of the direction a lot of Maria threads have taken over the last 12 months.
The undertone is very disappointing, aggressive and the comments are sometimes rude to a player just trying to earn a living, playing her hardest and having a good amount of success given her god given, natural talents.
You made the list: NEW President Bouchard, Cibulkova, Mladenovic, Wozniacki, Kerber, Cornet, Watson, Broady.
Please note this is a signature about Tatjana Maria

Interesting that Vika and Petra are in the same quarter. It looks like a clear road for Serena, with a lot of good matches in the other half.
A little like Paris

Probably what will happen is even though Zheng Jie hasn't had a great year she will probably play her A Game and out of this world against Serena.

Yeah, that was my point. She always bring out her A game vs Serena, and she almost always plays well on grass.

Thanks Nicolas89- they had me thinking I was wrong.
I understand what he did by breaking down each half into a whole, but that's just not the way draws work

By that logic, then break each half of a half into a whole and then have 16 quarters?

For instance, commentators and fans alike say each quarter belongs to a top 4 seed, hence 4 quarters. It makes it easier to talk about the draw. Saying "Oh Kerber is in Serena's quarter" but now Kerber is in..... Kerber's quarter.

Yeah, Jie always brings her GOAT form vs Serena (annoyingly). Other than her/garcia, I don't see any threats.....Sabine?

Re: 2013 Main Draw (for easy reference)

I think the bottom half looks slightly stronger as the top has some top seeds( Kerber, Na) who may go out early based on form( Kerber) or opponent( Na vs Halep in Rd 2). The bottom also has some people who may surprise like the winner of trio of Hampton/Stephens/ Petkovic who may play each other in Rounds 1 and 2, and Muguruza.

Intriguing Round 1s:

Lisciki vs Schiavone
Kirillenko vs Robson
Mattek Sands vs Kerber
Watson vs Keys
Bartel vs Niculescu
Errani vs Puig

and #1: Stephens vs Hampton

Azarenka, Muguruza, Kerber, Beck, Lepchenko, Goerges, Puig, Kasatkina
Lisciki, Robson
Terziyska
