Maybe my #1 fave did not win, but, thankfully my #2 fave won!

I really wanted VENUS to win this time and unfortunately she did not come out victorious, but thankfully, at least, the winner was a WILLIAMS.

SERENA did not play as well as she had in previous Grand Slam events, but she showed that she had the heart of a champ by winning tremendous matches against Loit and Clijsters and then defeating VENUS in their first three set GS final.

VENUS will go on to take the RG title and stop sis from getting five in a row. I hope.

Also, I am very sorry to hear about the, still unconfirmed, death of the grandmother of VENUS & SERENA. My prayers go out to the entire WILLIAMS family at this time of grief.

Congrats to SERENA.
Great match to VENUS.

Yeah I guess If Monica and Venus couldn't do it, Serenas the next best thing.

Dont worry Venus, you'll have your Venus slam!

Congrats to both players!!!!

Madame Oracene Williams could certainly teach the French & Belgian crowds on how to upgrade their respective primitive behaviours during a tennis match.

I just wanted Vee to take it because she tried so hard, but Serena would not let up. I knew after the first set that Venus would be in for a battle. I didn't know Serena could up her level like that. For the whole tournament she was playing ok, but she proved me wrong again. She took it to Kim at the end, and she came out against Vee very clean.

I hope Vee wins the next 3. Or at least one, cmon Vee don't give up. You can beat lil sis.

Congrats Serena! You are a true champ. You have shocked the hell out of me.

TP just repeats what everybody else has said so far.

** TP for Topaz or TennisPower **

It is a long Season, Venus will get her share of slams, tournaments, and everything else. She came out determined and should have won the first set. Anyway congrats to Serena and Venus for a hard fought match.

Beat'em down Ms Williams, beat'em down!
SERENA PRINCESS OF POWER

Victoria Duval - coming to a slam near you
Françoise Abanda definitely a future #1 --- Taylor Townsend devastation on the march
Venus and Serena ferocious grannies --- Kimiko Date Krumm great granny still doing her thing.

Joy - We think very much alike it seems.
I am still a little happy, even with a VENUS loss.
