The score doesn't realy reflect how it was.

6-4 6-4 would have been a better score.

So congrats to Kim for winning the big points

womens tennis is still so predictable

its up to kim now, but i bet serena will win

QF
S.Williams bts Shaughnessy 6-2 6-2
Clijsters bts. Myskina 6-3 6-2
Henin bts. Pascaul 6-2 6-1
V.Williams bts. Hantuchova 6-4 6-2

SF
S.williams bts. Clijsters 6-4 7-6
V. Williams bts. Henin 6-4 3-6 6-2

Final
S. Williams bts. V.Williams 7-6 6-3
ironic this will probably happen
womens tennis is predictable after 3 round or 4th round

This was Kim worst match untill now ...awful mistakes and lack of concentration...but she still breezed through....remarkable

I saw Venus 4th round too...same there...Venus' level NOT where it should be but she still managed to win easily.

I agree mostly with you Aphrodite.

BTW: If you're not a Venus fan, why take the Greek name for "Venus"?

Really, none of the players are where they should be.

Serena played a pretty ugly match today. Venus [who I haven't seen much of] played a ugly match, I guess. Supposedly Kim just played ugly. Henin struggled to beat Davenport with many errors.

So, who knows.

I love Venus, and I want her to win(look at my signature)
but it won't happen, she has a mental lapse VS Serena, just like everyone else on the tour, Kim and Venus have the weapons to beat her, but it won't happen, because mentally they are not there, i know its depressing but that is womens tennis right now

Its predictable
I predicted
the SF
and I bet u thats whats going to happen, too bad Seles or Coetzer couldn't win one, this grandslam was their only hope
Seles lacks in fitness department
Coetzer lacks power
Hingis is gone
Pierce is out of shape
Martinez well u know
Hantuchova- Williams have mental edge over her.
Capriati- not there mentally
Henin- there but not consistently, lacks mental edge(Davenport match)
Clijsters-depends on her
Bovina-unexperienced
Myskina- unexperienced
Daniilidou- unxperieced
alll three lack mental edge
V.Williams-lacks mental edge Vs younger sister
S. Williams- they can't beat her on her off days
tennis is 70% mental for most in top 32
most of them are not at 45%

come on kimmy!

In the middle of the night
I go walking in my sleep
Through the desert of the truth
To the river so deep
We all end in the ocean
We all start in the streams
We're all carried along
By the river of dreams
In the middle of the night

Kim played well in the 2nd set, the 1st wasn't that good.

Amanda didn't do bad either, it was an average match from her, not too good, not too bad.

What would you say if we could make
something amazing

First it was Serena, now Venus?

Sorry I totally disagree there. Losing in straight sets 4 straight times is nothing mental, Venus has technical weaknesses she needs to work on before she starts beating Serena again.

Oh and the Williams don't have mental edge over Hantuchova, her game just isn't where their's are at the moment. She rushes a lot of her shots and makes silly mistakes at crucial stages. Daniela is actually one of the most mentally strong players out there.

Yes, I am one of Dani's biggest fans, but I think this is exactly right. I hope she can play tighter tomorrow and give Venus a hard time....even win if Venus has an off day.

I don't give Dani much of a chance but anything can happen, especially when she really is so strong mentally.
