Did Richard W ever bring any "Crips" to wimbledon??

Just saw this video and wondered if Richard ever fulfilled his intention.

I'm not sure what to make of the responses so far. Just thought it would be cool to find out if he actually did help those who did help his cause when able to. Did you even watch the video?

He will probably go down as a Tennis genius. He is right when he said, the girls aren't ready to play competition, they need time to develop mentally and physically.

You may like Richard, but he truly knows his girls.

He nailed the character and psychology of both of his girls.

Serena: A pit-bull, when she gets a hold on you, she won't let go.

Everything he said has come true.

He also made sense when he said bringing girls too early on the tour, is not a good idea for the girls or the family.

Re: Did Richard W ever bring any "Crips" to wimbledon??

I guess one of the interesting things about this video is that it clarifies that Richard knew he would not be able to "coach" his daughters into being world class players. He needed to hire a true tennis teaching pro who could. This was probably the "genius" revealed in this video. Give him credit for knowing his limitations. This period of time away from junior tennis helped the sisters learn new and better habits that could combine with the apparent God given natural talent they posess which would give them the greatest chance for success. That is what all parents should garner from this snapshot of the girls path to success. I wonder if anyone that knew the family from this critical development time could confirm what happened regarding the crip guards from the Ca. time period.

He is a very good father.

You can tell how his girls interact with him.
They are always relaxed and comfortable around him

Thanks you very much for posting the video.

Unfortunately, the probability is quite high that any of the crips that were watching/protecting the sisters back then are either dead or in jail. ...Real talk.

There's nothing to "clarify" unless you know absolutely nothing about tennis.

Anyone who knows anything about the sisters knows that both girls studied with Macci and ALSO with Bollitieri as well.

Like many sports, there can be more than one "coach." The fact is that Richard was the "HCIC" (ya'll know what I mean) and whatever he said was went. That sounds an awful lot like a head COACH to me.
