Venus vs Serena: It's Been A Long Time; Pre-Match Celebration.

... It May Not Happen Again.

I am just happy that they gave us this opportunity again.

Let's enjoy while we can, even if it is just for one weekend

Just wished it were in the final, but this is good enough

Serena could easily win 61 62 but she won't do that to her big sister

That is my wish, but it very difficult for Venus.

It's really sad to see what Sjogrens syndrome has done to Venus and how much it has affected her performance.
She is a shadow of what she use to be.

Yes, she could.

But I hope Venus serves the way she did today.

As long the winner take the title I am happy.

For me, the opportunity to see them play in a semi against each other again.... in a non-exho event , is plenty.

Well, what can you do?
Today, I am just enjoying the fact they made semi-final and will meet again.

It is what it is. But she is out there competing and that's admirable. Even without a disease to battle, a player's decline is still inevitable, so...

You said it better than I did.

I bet many players in her position would have retired already, but Venus is there competing with players in their 20's and making an impression.

I am very happy aswell. I hope they both show some great tennis. I am looking forward to it.
I agree. The fact that she is still competing shows she loves what she does.

She beat her 6-2 6-2 in Miami

Interestingly enough Venus has bageled Serena once and breadsticked Serena 5 times, but Serena's only breadsticked Venus once.

Serena is DEFINITELY the kinder sister.

Career Grand Slam in your 20s? Been there done that. Career golden slam your 30s?
There's only 1.
Serena.

Ironic because for the past 10/11 years it has been the opposite and Venus not wanting to harm her little sis.

What a joke.
How about when Venus lead 5-3 in each set during their match at the 2008 US Open but managed to lose 7-6 7-6? Or how Venus was playing stellar in the FO2002 but somehow lost to Serena in the final in straights?
Not to mention their meetings at the net. Serena always bitter and angry when she got beat, Venus always gracious.

I will appreciate the match but it will always be bitter sweet. I want to see Serena defending her title, but I also want Venus in the final.
