One is more rare, obviously.

However, I think YEC with the top 8 players is tougher than winning Olympic gold, or it should be. They are both excellent.

Well and it is true. So?

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

The YEC often comes down to who is still the fittest not the best.

TBH, the year Steffi won the Olympics is was probably less of a big deal than it is now. But it's not like they just gave her a medal for showing up, so it's still an amazing feat.
Yeah Navratilova and Evert didn't even play in 1988. Seles didn't in 1992. It wasn't until 2000 and after that it became really important.

Divas: Seles, Sharapova, Muguruza
Pas de Quatre:
Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker, Coppélia
