Exhibitions aren't competitive tennis.
The hoo-ha is always around some fans and now apparently Martina herself getting competitively fired up by what is little more than a fun hit on a multi-coloured court.

Martina wasn't at optimal shape either. So it goes both ways. It's been shown at Martina's peak she can take on Serena.

I think it's part of the reason she doesn't come back, she knows she wouldn't be dominant but she likes to let her fans and people think that she could.
Because SHE IS. The tour is a flop nowadays.

I know that you know that Martina knows that.
That's not even the point, the point is that some Williams fans are so insecure that need to point out that Serena didn't play her best in an exhibition match.

I don't want Legend to come back and vie with the lesser Williams for the 20th spot on the rankings.

A single flow'r he sent me, since we met./All tenderly his messenger he chose;
Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet - One perfect rose.
I knew the language of the floweret;/'My fragile leaves,' it said, 'his heart enclose.'
Love long has taken for his amulet/One perfect rose.
Why is it no one ever sent me yet/One perfect limousine, do you suppose?
Ah no, it's always just my luck to get/One perfect rose.

thats shocking news, i remember on the post-match interview she was asked about a comeback and she said no way :P

also, she said she would have liked to play more doubles with lindsay after last year winning doubles in legends ladies
Another useless thread with a misleading title..
- WTT is like an exho
- Hingis said "in doubles" and "it probably won't happen"

Well she beat Serena at WTT, well many can argue Serena is subpar in WTT. However, 95% of the tour cannot beat a 30% Serena and Hingis was able to pull it off. She would be an easy top 20.

And it took former world #1 Victoria Azarenka 3 sets to beat a 20% Serena.

Hingis was the one misjudging reality though.
Hingis made the comeback statement.
How is this a "Serena fan" issue at all?

Even thought it must have felt great for her to snatch a win against Serena at a semi competitive level after years of retirement she must have quickly realized a win like that doesn't say much thus her decision to not come back at all. Simple common sense, use it.

How about telling that to Hingis, AND THEN taking your own advice, Sherlock.
