It's still a silver medal no matter what Did you see how elated Vika was when she won the gold medal in mixed?

Kuznetsova Serena Na Kvitova

Djokovic Wawrinka Gasquet del Potro

Also good luck to Jankovic, Vesnina, Stosur, Pennetta, Kerber and Halep

Olympic silver is Olympic silver. It doesn´t come with an asterisk.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

Typical American point of view. Only winners matter, everyone else is just a bunch of losers. There's no respect for anything below 1st place in USA.

Silver in doubles means nothing, especially if you're playing with Murray

Good for marketability, as it was in GB. But performance wise it's not really much to speak about.

If you're taking that into account, why not Jack Sock/Melanie Oudin in USO (who actually won). Give them millions.

As I agree with you that a silver medal in mixed double is not THAT important, it's still something that she has achieved. Why are you even talking about Sloane? lol it's not Robson's fault if Americans are not as interested in their next "potential" champions as the Brits are that Robson is undeserving. Anyway, Sloane has a hell lot more to prove before making a big deal out of her SF luck in the AO. Just has Robson has alot to prove still. Sloane is as hyped if not more than Robson is at the moment lol

Wozniak~ElTabakh ~Marino~Eugenie Bouchard...and the other Canucks!
Maria Sharapova~Anna Chakvetadze~Jelena Dokic~Laura Robson ~Sabine Lisicki

The Brits like to exaggerate this ish like crazy. I remember them running a stories about "Murray, the hundert million pound man"...
Laura won't see a fraction of that if she doesn't start winning on tour on a consistent basis and stops flopping out of tournaments in her first or second match...

She's pretty, but prettier than Kournikova-me thinks not. I'm a straight female & I think most males would agree, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.....
Something about Laura's very, very dark brown eyes freak me out a bit.

Am I the only one who doesn't think Robson will become some GOAT star of the future?

Despite not making many winners, she's still an agressive baseliner, and she doesn't only win matches by waiting the opponent's mistake, though she can do that at times also.
