Talking Not since the Dinosaurs ruled the earth.....

Have we had 2 Aussie girls into the semi's of a tournament...

Okay, slight exaggeration...

Alicia Molik will most likely meet Monica and I really think she has a chance. Her Serve is on fire, her Groundies are great and with a bit of luck and nerves of steel, she may just pull of the big one

Nicole Pratt plays Rita Grande in the other Semi-final, this should be a corker and either girl is capable of winning it, but i like Nicoles form in this tournament.....

So could the impossible happen, could we have an all Australian final?

I hope so (nothing against Seles and Grande fans, as I do like both players very much) for the sake of Australian Womens Tennis...shucks we may even get 4 lines on page 768 in the newspaper

Yeah, that would be great having an all Australian Final at the Kiwi Open! Good luck to both Alicia and Nicole!

That would really be somehting to be happy about Adrian!

Nicoles got a good chance.

Alicias not just got to keep up the form ,however , she needs to play the match of her life.....or , alternatively hope for a few extra Seles errors..

still ,theres a chance for an ALL-AUSSIE final , which will be awesome irrespective who wins it!

That would be great having an all Australian final! I think Alicia has a great game and I think she could even crack the top 20. Lets hope so!

She will need to crank those big serves in and even though monica is fitter, moving her from side to side is the key to succes.s. Alicia moves well to the net, so she needs to do that and bring Monica to the net, where she is at her weakest.

Alicia has had a great few months and is really soaring up the rankings.

A semi-final place is great, but much as I'd love Alicia to get to the final, Seles is a tough nut. it would take awesome power and consistency to beat her.

but Good Luck Alicia.

It would definetly be nice to see! The Aussie girls in general have really had quite a nice year, big ranking jumps by Molik, Dominikovic, and McQuillan in particular, and of course another steady and solid year from Nicole. Great to see

As for this week, I think Alicia will definetly have her hands full. The only way she really has a shot at winning this one is if that serve of hers is on BIG time. She's definetly not going to win off the ground against Monica, but if she can win her serves with ease maybe she can pressure Monica. I question whether she has the nerves to hold out against Seles though.

With Nicole and Rita, both are solid players that won't give up so it should be interesting. I think it could definetly go either way, but I think Nicole's a bit of a better fighter and could grit her way through this one. However, Rita has been to a few finals as it is, and maybe the experience of these matches could give her a slight edge. Hopefully the Aus girls come through

But he loves you."
