But you've got to admit it's sometimes entertaining.

I can't answer the thread question.

I will only say that a victory by Kvitova over Azarenka is something I welcome and if this is something that happens to occur frequently in the future that would be something I would give a big to.

He's not far from truth, in big tournaments Petra vs Serena will be either QF or SF, something similar to what was last year when Petra had to go through Pova to reach the final but she failed to do so, maybe this year she can beat her or maybe she will be lucky and at few events ends up in Aza's half

You're talking to Volcana. Don't even bother.

I think she looked in better shape this week, and she can always win against any player with her game. Still she is too much up and down though. Not close to Azarenka in that aspect.

Re: Are We Finally Heading for a Kvitova-Azarenka Rivalry?

if Kvitova wins any tournament in which top 3 are participating, then we can speak about any possible rivalry..... But now after Dubai? ridiculous overhyping......

Nevertheless, Petra is improving , she won't be a Walking Bye at FO and Wimbledon.....

What rivalry? Petra wins all the matches.

Kvitova will hopefully get to play her soon and hopefully she'll have her serve sorted out by then.

RIP Elena Baltacha, thank you for dedicating your life to a sport we all love. You'll be missed but never forgotten.

Serena is the only player who can beat her at Wimbledon.

If predicting one player to more than double their slam count isn't purporting to have foresight I don't know what is.

I'm not saying I necessarily agree with Volcana. However, there is a reason the term "multi-slam winner" exists. It's a big leap to back up your first dream run with a second. Right now only one of the two rivals is in that group. Foresight can only extrapolate based of what actually is happening now.

Don't they need to, um, play each other for a rivalry to happen?
