For sure: She will be ranked #25 (just because)
She gets some random Russian Qualifier chick in R1 who isn't a clay specialist. Win 63 63.
She then goes on to face Edina Gallovits Hall. Which we know is a 62 64.
Then she goes into R3 having to face Arantxa Rus (who took out Goerges ranked #17 for a second time in RG) Win. 75 61
4th round much more difficult. She gets Kerber (who is still struggling with back issues). Win 26 64 62.
QF will also be tough. She gets Sharapova who moos her way on the clay to a loss to Jeca. Win 36 63 75.
SF against Serena will be the biggest challenge. Oh? What's this? JELENA TAKES ADVANTAGE AND BRINGS OUT HER ROME 2011 GOAT FORM TO WIN IN STRAIGHTS. 76 76.
In the Finals she faces an in form Azarenka who has found form on clay. After a tough tight first set tiebreaker win 76(5), she does the usual WTA flop and loses set #2 61. After coming back from 2-4 15-40 down, Jelena regains her place at the top of the WTA with a 76 16 64 win and gets her first Slam.
She retires at the end of the year (after also winning another title, this time it being MM Osaka) and enjoys life in her new mansion in Carlsbad, California. Then we get married and I will polish her RG trophy every day until the end of time as we know it.
Enters as #24 seed.
1R: gets tricky Clay-courter Simona Halep in 1R, TF predicts her to be the first seed to go down in 1R. After being down 3:6 3:5 15:40, Jelena rallies to beat Halep 3:6 7:5 6:1 and advances to 2R.
2R: plays an uspectacular match vs. Qualifier Greta Arn, winning without too much trouble 6:4 6:2.
3R: Jelena comes up against Frenchwoman and local Favourite Marion Bartoli, seeded 9th, on Philippe Chatrier. Jelena lifts her level playing a higher seeded player and wants some revenge. She plays a great first set, chasing every Marion-shot down and hits some stunning BH down the lines to win the first set 6:3. Seems like 2007-2008 Jelena's out there. Marion however, eager to beat Jelena and pumped by the French crowd, fights into the match, takes the second set 7:5 and pushes Jelena into a deciding third set. After several Medical-Timeouts and other drama Jelena finally wins 8:6, to the great disappointment of the French crowd. General Messages is turning into a "The Empress' back"-celebration, the "Can Jelena Jankovic win RG 2013?" will be bumped, everyone jumping on the bandwagon.
4R: Jelena meets #6 and last year's runner up Sara Errani in 4R. Errani won her previous matches without brillance and much notice. The match is highly anticipated by TF. Jelena starts off like in her previous match and shows Errani how to play some proper clay-court Tennis. Until 6:2 2:0 everything's going according to plan. However, then Jelena misses a crucial overhead at BP which marks a shift of momentum and the comeback of Errani. With some stunning Volleys and drop shots, Errani wins the next 9 out of 10 games, going up 2:6 6:3 3:0. However, Jelena decides not to give up and plays more agressively, going for some return winners and chasing down every drop shot. She reels off 5 straight games to go up 5-3. While serving for the match, Jelena squanders 2 match points, netting a FH on the first and being too late on a Errani drop shot on the second. Errani breaks Jelena and serves to stay in the match at 4:5. Jelena then squanders another 15:40, netting another forehand and missing yet another easy overhead, as in the second set. Errani's pumped, takes advantage of Jelena's meltdown and wins the match 2:6 6:3 7:5. TF will explode, the hatred towards Errani will reach a new dimension.
End of RG 2013 for JJ.
