Rinaldi (14 yr. 2 months) d. Horvath (15 yr 8 mon) in Perugia, 1981.

Combined age 29 yrs. 10 months.

There are probably some younger than that.

Thanks for correcting my poor math Blazed, I corrected it

It's still a few months "younger" than Capriati-Huber.

Tracking down the oldest 4-some ever would be REALLY hard IMO.
140 is a start, but many women have played top level doubles into their 40s and a few even past age 50.

What about youngest ever to play in a slam FINAL?

Would that be Serena vrs Hingis in 1999? I think they both were not yet 18.

Anyway who is the the youngest to play in a slam FINAL? anyone know?

Does anyone know how old Seda Norlander of the Netherlands is. I have seen her birthdate listed as May of 1975. If that was the case, she just turned 12 when she competed in her first Grand Slams in 1987.

Jennifer was still 13 I think when she competed in her first tournament in 1990.

You have to answer for Santino, Carlo.

WOW! THANKS, VENUS AND MARTINA WERE SO YOUNG. Anyone could tell Venus was headed for greatness even back then.

To think this is still the best rivalry around, they go wayyyyyyyyy back.

Jakeev-Seda Noorlander entered no slams in 1987. Brian Stewart discovered that Tenniscorner made a mistake there They somehow got Seda mixed up with Ann Devries

The doubles match between Barger-Wallach (54)/Wagner (41) and Mallory (32 or 40)/Sears (42) may be a record for the oldest combined age in a grand slam ladies doubles. Their combined age was 170 years and spare change! This is if one accepts Mallory's DOB as 1892. If she was older (as some have maintained) and was born in 1884 the combined ages were 178!
