Single Handed Backhand from a Lefthander

Was there ever a left handed Top Player with a single handed backhand?

And with "ever" I actually mean in the last ten or twelve years.

Claire Feuerstein is one.

And I think the other French Claire, De Gubernatis also.

Edit: Just read the top player part

That's pretty specific

Lefty top players are rare enough as it is

Magui Serna, if I remember correctly. She was really fun to watch.

I've seen top 20 players called journeywomen on this board, so I don't know what is a "top player".

From the last 15 years or so Florencia Labat and Gala Leon Garcia spring to mind.

Agreed, so true.

It's a new art form showing people how little we care.

Martina Navratilova?

Even though she seems to come from the Middle Age she has won 3 Grand Slams in the last decade

So true.
And anything besides GS results has been called irrelevant, too.

FLAVIA PENNETTA

US OPEN CHAMPION 2015

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!

Barbara Schwartz had a great one. I think she could have been top 5 material -- I remember her playing great against Seles at a couple slams also. Huge game but was injured a lot and underachieved.

Drool worthy stuff, shame we didn't see more of her.

Re: Single Handed Backhand from a Lefthander

For me the most beautiful left handed single handed backhand was Anne-Gaelle Sidot. Like art.
