How about two time grand slam finalist Fran Schiavone?

Re: Flavia Pennetta

In reality, her prospects of being a slam winner, are long over. She will be lucky to win anything above a tier IV tournament again. But then, she can win some money and keep in shape, as long she doesn't get injured. I do like Flavia, but just stating reality, IMO. I will be happy to be proven wrong. Good luck Flavia-Viva Italia!

I doubt she ever had them, actually.

yeah, it is. But she's still my favorite italian player and not only because she's the least annoying of them all.

what you mean all together? i think she can still win a doubles slam if she finds the right partner. If her and sveta jell they could be a very, very good pairing

I don't think Francesca is a better player than Flavia, but Francesca is really good on clay where most top players suck. Flavia is at her best on hardcourts where she has much tougher competition. She still should have made that US Open Semifinal in 2011 though.

Thank you for all these moments over the last years! Supported you until your final point!

Re: Flavia Pennetta

-honestly I think she was the best Italian player but she peaked in a moment in which WTA had a very good level, she's the best on hardcourts, where there's much more competitivness and she never had the killing-istinct to win matches she had to win under pressure. I still hope she can get that very deserved slam SF she never got

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.

I miss her.

I'm always remembering that performance against Cetkovska last year, absolutely GOAT.

True but as I said, hardcourts being her best surface really hurts her.
