We had this discussion before, but World Champion is in most sports the biggest tourney. In tennis it is not.

What has sportswoman of 2002 to do with what someone will do in 2003?? Of course, Kim Gevaert won't be top in 2003. She will have a good year when she reaches a final on the World Championships. Kim G had a great season. She was second (twice) at the most important tourney of the year (notice that there weren't any worldchampionships in athletics this year!!).

Bottom-line is that you can't compare sports. Period.

I agree, Kim deserves it.
On that last thing, he's proven wrong as Justine is (too) far behind Gevaert. Justine will have to do extremely well to make a chance of winning this trophy.

Btw, Kim has 1155 points, not 1555....
