Re: Radwanska's father: Most WTA players don't like Vika

I think this roots back to Doha, with all fairness to her she has a right to be mad at Azarenka. Her comment was i know she does this fake thing, but i can't believe she did it to me. I don't think it's because she is always losing to Azarenka. But yeah it's clear the friendship has never been patched up.

Besides you have to take anything Radwanska's father says with a pinch of salt, given he clearly has his own agenda.
The difference is that Azarenka actually socialize with her peers, Whereas Serena and Sharapova doesn't.

Agaīs problem is that she is still under the delusion that she is the best and most talented player of her generation.
Really, I think Shvedarberaidklasdlicusiscu should be ignored; he/she very clearly has an agenda to push.

That's my point exactly. Aga has no problem maintaining good friendships with successful players even when she loses to them. That something clearly happened in the relationship between Aga and Vika is very much the exception rather than the norm is undeniable. But to suggest it is all down to jealousy on Aga's part really doesn't wash as Vika is hardly the only person on the tour Aga could be jealous of. Fact is all the other top players, aside perhaps from Sharapova, Aga is on good terms with.

I remember Li talked about MTO few years ago. She said something like "if some players want to use MTO as a way to defeat me and they succeed, then good for them". She just had a laugh about it.

Kimiko Date Krumm is my absolute favourite player on the tour. And when Aga took that time out against her 2 years ago I was absolutely as critical of her as anyone on this board. Frankly, for several months I didn't really support her at all after that. I am quite consistent in not appreciating what are clearly tactical timeouts that are rooted in gamesmanship and I will be critical when a player I like does it just as much as a player I am less fond of.

As for your 2nd paragraph, I really would love any kind of quote from her to back up that statement. Because I have seen no indication of this.

So it is more likely that Radwanska is a hypocrite than envious in your eyes?

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 25 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten three top 5 players en route to her 25 titles (#4 Radwanska, #4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

This update was brought to you by Kiki Maladenovic.

Besides Sloane Stephens didnīt feel that there was anything wrong about the medical timeout.
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/te...-1226563013231

Azarenka contacted American teenager Sloane Stephens only hours before the final for a frank discussion on the top seed's controversial injury time-out in their semi-final.
"I actually talked to Sloane yesterday and for me it's important that we have no problems with each other," Azarenka said.
"She wished me good luck (in the final) and we're going to go practice together in Doha (late next month).
"That's it. If it's going to be brought up, I'll have deal with it. I can't change time, but it was very important for me that me and Sloane are in a good position."

I like that their family say it as they feel. I always considered that friendship between Caro, Aga and Vika as fake. They could get along well together, but it's obvious that for any player career comes first

The simple solution is that she's an envious hypocrite.

Give Sloane some time among the elite and she'll learn how to be a real bitch

Tbh between these 3 why is Radwanska's the one who whines? Fake or no Fake, I've never seen or heard Vika nor Caro bad mouth each other till now, nor vika n caro trying to out trash aga. So basically what is this girl's problem? Seriously?

Yep, always has, always will. Can you imagine the fuss if there had been the Internet during the Graf/Seles/Sanchez-Vicario years?!

Oh I agree with that and have no issue with it. But at the same time I don't buy the TF theory that Vika needs to be "popular" or "nice" or else WTA will be doomed. WTA will be fine just as NBA is fine despite the popularity (or lack thereof) of their champion.

Vika is indeed the LeBron James of WTA (both literally became champions directly against the will of the crowd). Incidentally the one big difference being those two is that there is a certain lady you know who has "issues" with Vika but not with Lebron
