Re: Li Na in tears during heartfelt interview with CCTV after losing AO13 final

Wow....we can see it's not only about Li Na but whole country is behind her....
totally diferent reaction in front of world media and domestic media....
more heavy, serious and emotional....

I actually couldn't see when she fell down and twisted ankle....
TV showed it again and again in slow motion but it was too much for me....
But she never gave up and fought til the end, I'm very proud of her!!

I forgot the name but the guy in 110m fell down in OG,
maybe Li Na and him carrying the same kind of burden and hope....wish her good luck in near future...

Re: Li Na in tears during heartfelt interview with Chinese TV after losing AO13 final

Not as bad as that interview after she wasted 4 mps in 2012 AO R4 match. That match gave her a doubt in her mind that she couldn't get pass R4 in other G.S tournaments and it happened.

She's happy that she's a good start of this season after 3-week intensive training during off-season. She's motivated to train harder and be a better player like she said to Carlos "you don't have to push me anymore, I will push (me) ".

I'm just glad she has a slam already. So many missed opportunities. I hope she keeps going and pick up another slam. She really deserves it.

I haven't heard her speak Chinese so much so it's great to see this interview.
She is growing into one of my favourite players now.

Re: Li Na in tears during heartfelt interview with Chinese TV after losing AO13 final

Li Na has so much expectation on her shoulders but she's broken so many barriers for the sport in her country. She seems like such a likeable character and her personality has given her an enormous fanbase which she richely deserves. It's so unfortunate what happened to her in the final given what amazing form she was in and she probably felt she let people down when in reality she did brilliantly well and was ridiculously unfortunate at the final hurdle.

RIP Elena Baltacha, thank you for dedicating your life to a sport we all love. You'll be missed but never forgotten.

Great post - thank you.

I think w/ Carlos' help, Na will have her best season yet.

I remember the interview after the match with Clijsters also. The Chinese journalist was just awful, asking some stupid questions. After the AO final I was like, well at least there is no interview when she cries. But unfortunately it did happen.
I think it's very hard to be sportsman in Asia. They are so in to it. Just look at the Olympics, Asians seem to be scared about their lives, when they lose it's like the end of the world for them.

AO Final - one more provement that there is no justice in the world... A player who played the best tennis of the tournament, who is appreciated by the public had to twist her ankle twice to lose to mediocre bully who cheated in SF
