Re: WWW: French Open Predictions

Aga told in the interview: "Well, that's quite a pity that I lost again in a QF and didn't make a step forward but I'll do anything so I am a participant of the next GS final". Gurl, important she still believes in her claycourt ability. Well, I heard that in this off season it was the first time she started a serious weight lifting training so maybe her claycourt tennis will do better this year.

Re: WWW: French Open Predictions

The odds for French Open are very tight atm :-
Serena 4
Azarenka 5
Sharapova 7.4
Li 11
Kvitova 17
Stosur 18.5
Radwanska 29

Hard to make much from that. The prices will move big time once some clay matches are played.

Her schedule now shows Stuttgart listed. Don't think Charleston is in the cards this year. I think it will be Stuttgart, Madrid & Rome.

This is a good sign.

Re: WWW: French Open Predictions

Azarenka seems underrated on clay around here. There seems to be a consensus she is some clay court mug who will be struggling to win matches on clay.

Re: WWW: French Open Predictions

Right now. Best odds available without ***fair:

Serena 4.0
Vika 4.33
Maria 6.0
Na Li 11.0
Kvitova 17.0
Stosur 17.0
Radwanska 23.0
Kerber 41.0
Errani 41.0
Stephens 41.0
Kuznetsova 51.0
Wozniacki 67.0
Petkovic/Ivanovic/Bartoli/Barthel/Cibulkova 101
Görges 126
Venus/Pavlyuchenkova/Schiavone/Lisicki /Shvedova/Martic 151
Jankovic/Wickmayer/Kanepi/Robson/Kirilenko 201

I like the odds for the bolded players. If I had to pick one it would be Kuznetsova.

- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a reigning world #1.
- Caroline Wozniacki has never beaten a top 5 player at a major.
- Caroline Wozniacki has not beaten a top 3 player en route to any of her 23 titles.
- Caroline Wozniacki has beaten two top 5 players en route to her 23 titles (#4 Zvonareva and #5 Schiavone)

-Her fans think she had very bad luck with her Grand Slam and Regular Tour draws.

She wasn't so good last year. Year before that looked promising before she got injured iirc.

Madrid was also fast the year before the blue clay though.

Captain Matthew Gideon: I may have an idea.
Dureena Nafeel: I don't think you've recovered from your last good idea.

Yer Madrid never seems to get it completely right. But the blue clay was just a complete farce on another level. Probably Rome is the best indicator. Stuttgart being indoors benefits bigger servers, Madrid the ball just flies, and there's always complaints from players about the quality of the clay.

I would put a decent amount on Li, small amount on Kuzzy and JJ (201!). And of course a bit on Wozzy (just because, alright!).

I don't understand the Kvitty odds at all.
