It was much more then that. Boo'd when entering, a spectator mimicked Azarenkas voice in a disgusting way, being boo'd again when arguing over a point with the ref that she should have gottent. Constatnly laughed at, disrespected and trashed. And worst of all is that all of this for no reason. Hanging her as a cheater for with no proof nothing. Just gullible morons eating everything the propaganda machine fed them.

Just a few things.

a) She was also cheered when she entered. Go back and watch it again, she had headphones in (as always) and had to be told that her name was called out. Aka. she did not hear a thing. And you saying she got booed upon entering is a gross exaggeration.
b) The crowd was respectfully cheering her winners on multiple occasions. I mean, with all the hype I actually listened carefully expecting there to be a torrent of boo's...there just wasn't.
c) That point that got replayed was the only main instance of booing I saw. Those points are always replayed. It was always going to be silly and pointless for her to even attempt to argue that.
d) When she thanked the 'Party Rock Team' in her speech, they got more boo's than she did in pretty much the whole match
e) There is a reason. Have you been living under a rock. Even if you believe she didn't cheat (I agree) she displayed abysmally bad sportsmanship in her SF match. There is ample proof to suggest that. And the only person reading into the PR machine is you, seeing as though I'm willing to bet you read and agree with everything Azarenka said in her SF post-match interview when every 2nd word she said would have been spoon-fed to her by PR specialists.

Azarenka totally deserves what the crowed did to her. She is a liar, a diagrace to women tennis and has a disgusting personality. The crowd has endured her so much. She will pay off for what all ugly things she did before. We will see.

Even the Australian media called the crowd last night appalling. Yes that's right, not just overseas media saying it, but Australian media (Fairfax) are saying it too.

Australian's saying the French crowd treated Hingis worse? Please. Not even close to as comparable. Last night they were disgusting.

Channel 7 fueling the hate against her was disgraceful. If I was Azarenka, I would have told them to f* off when she went to do the post presentation interview last night.

Taking a MTO when injured is allowed.

This post is such a gross exaggeration of what happened when she entered the stadium she was quietly and respectfully cheered onto court by about 95% of the spectators, yes there were a few jeers and subtle boos however I think that was more out of frustration of her failure to acknowledge the crowd, which even though she never does could have been a nice jesture given what had occurred. Yes she was booed when she argued with the umpire but such actions often illicit a response like that from the crowd regardless of who the player is. She was not constantly laughed at nor was she heavily disrespected, they cheered her winners, the times her DFs got heavily cheered were on set point, like the crowd is going to be silent on SP, and I think to give Li a break or a BP. The crowed wanted Li to win but they didn't cheer for Azarenka to lose by bullying her. Regarding the propaganda there was biased information in favour of both stories, the media lead with their belief of events, and Azarenka lead with what her PR team told her to say in her presser, and no one but Azarenka will ever know the full truth behind what happened. I don't doubt the fact she had treatment on her back and knee or whatever ever but that means nothing, I do doubt weather treatment was necessary especially at such a point in the match.

Instead of telling the crowd to fuck off like Sharapova did at the FO, Azarenka took the high road and was very classy in her speech and during the interview.

That is such an ignorant thing to say. Last night was not that bad, which has been said many times. The French crowd were vile to Hingis and Serena and many others for that matter. In last nights crowd a very strong majority were respectful to Azarenka, with an incredibly small portion of the stadium displaying questionable behaviour, no more questionable than Azarenka's own behaviour.

I agree. When an injury OCCURS, a player should take an MTO. That's not what happened. That wasn't the case. And 2 consecutive MTOs being permitted at such a crucial stage because the 2 injuries weren't linked by continuum is insane!

a) if you count a few fans, all the more loudly they would cheer considering the treatment
b) Of course they are going to give some credit only reasonable credit where credit is due
c) no, watch the Caroline Woznacki game with Kuznetsova. Azarenka shot was almosta perfect ace, no way Li Na had a play on that.
e) And please tell me how she displayed poor sportmanship? For taking an injury break when she was injured? ok im confused. I dont pay attention what they say in their post match, nor i care. As far as I'm concerned she took a break whether injured or not she had to piece herself together, after all we are not machines, we have feeling, emotions, problems, etc. If that was a manifestation of nerves, or injury its only sensible to cool yourself down. Besides its only 10 minutes, besides SLoane got a break too. So please dont make excuses. And no I dont read into the propaganda machine I make my points based on my own thinking and common sense, so if not listening to the Propaganda machine is living under a rock then I guess I am. BTW shouldnt you be watching news right now, its about the right time?

Why would an Australian newspaper, 1 in Melbourne that publishes the story, talk about how bad the crowd behaved if they didn't? What's in it for them? If anything, they'd say the crowd behaved better than they did.

And you don't think the Australian crowd was to Azarenka last night?

And Australian's have been to Serena before. The Sydney crowd was disgusting one year, and Serena called the crowd racist afterwards.

Oh well, it just seems you think the crowd last night was much harsher than the French crowd was to Hingis in 99 and Serena in... many years, which is simply not true.

Are you the one who said that Li played her "best" game last night while Azarenka played her "C" game? It's really hard to take you seriously considering that Li hit almost 60 UEs and her serve was all over the place.

The problem is still that they had no reason to treat her this way, they just took everything that the media told them hook line sinker. Its like people dont question things anymore. Appaling
